This is a remote position.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and Xero
Record financial transactions including income, expenses, and payments
Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis
Prepare basic financial reports for review by leadership
Track categorized income and expenses for reporting purposes
Assist with budgeting and annual financial reviews
Provide support during annual audits and tax preparation
Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial standards and procedures
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a nonprofit environment
Proficiency with both QuickBooks and Xero accounting platforms
Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with donor tracking or nonprofit accounting practices
Familiarity with nonprofit compliance and reporting standards
