Position: IT Support Agent
Number of hours: 15 hours/week
Schedule: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, EST
Tasks required:
Provide remote IT support to users via phone, email, or helpdesk tools
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues (Windows/macOS)
Set up and maintain email accounts, calendars, and file-sharing systems (e.g., Outlook, MS Teams, GoDaddy)
Assist with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software and resolve user concerns
Implement and uphold data security standards in alignment with Canadian PHIPA-equivalent guidelines
Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of sensitive client and patient information
Perform other ad hoc administrative or technical tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Proven experience in IT support or a similar technical role (2+ years preferred)
Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
Experience with remote desktop tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP)
Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
Experience in EMR software and understanding of health data privacy regulations
Understanding of or experience with Canadian healthcare privacy guidelines and PHIPA compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (via email and phone)
Familiarity with GoDaddy, MS Teams, MS Outlook, and MS Excel
Certifications like CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft are a strong advantage
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a remote setting
