This is a remote position.

Role Name: Property Management  - Bookkeeper

Schedule:

  • 15-20 hours per week, flexible schedule

Client Time zone: US Eastern Time



We're seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client's dynamic property management team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing organization while utilising your financial expertise to manage complex community association accounts. You'll play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining robust financial processes, working directly with management to support the company's expansion. This position provides excellent exposure to US-based property management accounting while allowing you to leverage your bookkeeping expertise in a flexible, part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the migration of historical financial data into new accounting platforms, ensuring accuracy and completeness

  • Establish and maintain detailed balance sheets and general ledger entries for multiple communities

  • Perform comprehensive monthly account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy

  • Support smooth financial transitions for new community onboarding

  • Implement and maintain organized financial record-keeping systems

  • Collaborate with management to optimize financial processes and reporting

  • Assist in developing standardised procedures for financial operations

  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial workflows



Requirements
  • Proven experience with US-based accounting practices and procedures

  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and financial management software

  • Demonstrated experience with financial system migrations and data transfer

  • Understanding of property management or HOA accounting (preferred)

  • Excellence in balance sheet management and general ledger operations

  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail

  • Professional English communication abilities

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication

  • Experience with multi-entity accounting structures

  • Flexible availability during US business hours
