Job description

Compensation Range:

Hourly: $75.00 - $75.00

Position Summary

The Part-Time Researcher for Content Development will support a research grant. This role will be responsible for creating and curating content to complement and support labs developed using the Haiku Forge tool. It involves mapping publicly available certification-related materials to these labs and developing a variety of educational resources, including videos, graphics, presentations, quizzes, and learning outcomes. This position offers a collaborative environment and will work closely with the Learning Experience Designer, the Lab Development Researcher, and the Principal Investigators to deliver high-quality educational content.

This position is 100% grant funded.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the development of content mapped to various certifications like CompTIA CASP+ and CompTIA Network+ that is aligned with various certifications like CompTIA CASP+ and CompTIA Network+.
  • Collaborate with a learning experience designer to create lesson plans, video content, and other content that is aligned with labs created from the Haiku Forge tool.
  • Submit work summaries and reports based on your work and research.
  • Collaborate with fellow researchers, faculty, and other stakeholders to ensure the success of the research projects.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on progress.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical area required.
  • Technical Graduate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years working in a cybersecurity-related field required.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification preferred.
  • Experience using the Haiku Cyber Range preferred.
  • Experience participating in online cybersecurity labs required.
  • Experience creating cybersecurity-related content required.
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week Monday-Friday required.
  • Must have a personal computer and the ability to facilitate online collaboration and communications remotely.
  • Must reside in the United States and be a U.S. citizen.

Competencies/Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Participate actively as a team member, contributing fully to the team's efforts and the organization's success.
  • Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to write technical content.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity workforce frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CompTIA Certifications.
