Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights: 

Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5pm AEST, 40 hours per week


Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile payments and bill transactions in accounting system (Xero)
  • Review invoice documents for accuracy and email customers with freight tracking details
  • Review and analyse bills to identify cost saving opportunities. Load into Xero for payment.
  • Manage first level overdue accounts receivable follow up via email
  • Analyse freight trends and identify and manage service risks.
  • Update key performance reports and draft weekly reports.
  • Analyse data to provide clarity on projects, stock levels pricing and customer trends
  • Support team administration requirements

Requirements
  • Strong English language skills for clear communication with the team utilising online communication management tools
  • Experience with accounting software, preferably Xero
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry tasks
  • Advanced skills in using Excel and other data management tools
  • Experience in data analysis which drives service improvements or cost optimisation
  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to investigate across multiple systems.
  • Ability to show initiative and recommend improvements
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strategic thinking and ability to make timely decisions based on evidence reviewed
  • Self-driven, with ability to work independently and meet deadlines
