Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm Central with an hour unpaid break


Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize all production operations across website development, SEO, lead generation, and client deliverables. This is not just a coordinator role—this is a leadership position for someone ready to own systems, mentor a team, manage production budgets, and scale agency fulfillment.

You will serve as a critical operations leader, helping build and manage a remote team while ensuring timelines and standards are consistently met. You’ll be accountable for keeping deliverables on track, driving team productivity, and refining internal processes for optimal efficiency. Role Outcomes

This role is designed to help the CEO and COO step out of day-to-day fulfillment by empowering a reliable, high-performing leader to take full ownership of the production calendar and team workload. You will coach, mentor, and build a high-performing team of implementer. You’ll identify and hire the right contractors and specialists to scale delivery. You will oversee project efficiency, ensure deadlines are met, and lead to continuous improvement of workflows. You’ll also track production budgets and ensure cost-effective execution without compromising quality.

Your leadership will drive agency scalability and elevate the consistency and quality of client delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Project & Workflow Management

  • Own and optimize the ClickUp production system and calendar.

  • Maintain a live view of all projects, deadlines, and responsibilities.

  • Ensure proper delegation of work across development, content, SEO, and design.

  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to ensure timely delivery.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a growing remote team of 5–20+ contributors.

  • Set performance expectations and accountability standards.

  • Foster a team culture of communication, ownership, and excellence.

  • Participate in the hiring process to expand capacity as needed.

  • Process Optimization & SOP Development

  • Build, document, and refine SOPs and workflows for recurring deliverables.

  • Create systems within ClickUp to improve team collaboration and visibility.

  • Continually evaluate and improve internal processes for speed, consistency, and scalability.

  • Budget Oversight & Efficiency

  • Manage production budgets and resource allocation across deliverables.

  • Track cost-per-project metrics and ensure financial efficiency.

  • Collaborate with leadership to improve margins while maintaining quality.

  • Oversight of Core Deliverables

  • Website Development: Oversee project scoping, templating, and execution via WordPress.

  • SEO Fulfillment: Supervise keyword tracking, content publishing, and link-building.

  • Lead Generation Campaigns: Ensure landing pages and Go High Level systems are built to convert.

  • Reputation Management: Monitor GBP posts, review requests, and citation accuracy.

  • Client Retainers: Ensure ongoing deliverables are completed on time and documented.

Compensation
  • Rate: Willing to compensate competitively based on experience and skillset

  • Hours: Expected 40 hours per week

  • Preferred working hours: Minimum of 6:00 AM – 12:30 PM US Central Time

  • Payment Schedule: Payments made on the 1st and 15th of each month for hours completed


Requirements

  • Website Development: WordPress, sitemaps, site launches
  • ClickUp Mastery: Advanced automation, dashboards, template systems
  • SEO Experience: On-page, off-page, local SEO deliverables
  • EOS / Team Leadership: Remote team oversight, hiring, delegation, accountability rhythms

You should be excited about improving systems, mentoring a team, and leading with clarity and confidence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field — or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing or project/production management
  • 2+ years of advanced ClickUp system usage and workflow development
  • Experience leading remote teams and managing multi-departmental delivery
  • Strong communication, delegation, and organizational skills
  • Budget management experience and operational efficiency mindset
