Job Summary:

JOB DESCRIPTION—MAP ANALYST

Location: Remote - US

Division: Ticketmaster

Contract Terms: Part-Time, up to 29- hours per week nights and weekends // noon to 8pm PST or 10am to 4pm EST


The Map Analyst is a producer of Ticketmaster’s Interactive Seat Maps (ISMs) and Seatmap Files (STMPs). The Map Analyst is a member of Maps Operations within Marketplace Support and will work with local and international market Business Operations teams and external clients to meet deadlines and ensure seat maps for all Ticketmaster events are produced and available before events go on sale. This is an international role, and the Analyst should be comfortable communicating across countries and time zones.

To build these interactive maps, the Map Analyst will use Ticketmaster’s proprietary tools, including Maps Studio, which is based on 3Ds Max. The Map Analyst will also need a basic understanding of Ticketmaster seating charts and the Ticketmaster transaction engine.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Work Management

  • Shifts would vary by location and include weekends and/or evenings.
  • Work with North American Maps Team, Global Hubs Teams, New Delhi Pods, Field Operations, and clients to ensure that map production remains on track
  • Manage priorities and clear bottlenecks to map building across the business
  • Produce ISM Maps using Maps Studio
  • Produce seat inventory files using the Seatmap Tool
  • Follow best practices for map appearance and consistency across domains
  • Work with internal and external clients to get ISMs through the QA process
  • Vet incoming submissions
  • Quality Control for other analysts
  • Problem-solving — focusing on TM event build best practices

Communication

  • Work with Field Operations and clients in all Ticketmaster markets to ensure clean map submissions and fast and precise ISM builds
  • Constantly iterate and improve processes, work with Product Managers to suggest new features and improvements for proprietary toolset

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • At least three years of experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software; 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Strong design skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English (French or Spanish skills an asset)
