We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Design Assistant to support our team with architectural drawing creation, project management, and client communication. In this role, you'll interpret architectural drawings, create and edit designs using AutoCAD, assist with 3D rendering and visualization using SketchUp, and manage project correspondence. You will also maintain an internal design library, track project details in a CRM system, and provide updates and support to clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and a good understanding of Australian architecture and construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage emails and correspondence related to interior design projects.
Interpret architectural drawings and add appropriate labels.
Create and edit architectural drawings using AutoCAD.
Implement changes and variations as per client or team requirements.
Update and maintain an internal materials and design library.
3D rendering and visualisation support using SketchUp or other rendering tools.
Provide client updates and assist with presentations.
Work within a CRM system to track and manage project details.
Qualification:
Bachelor in Interior Architecture/Interior Design or similar
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
High experience with AutoCAD and SketchUp.
Initial knowledge around a new software program online called Programa to enter all our clients selections etc. https://programa.design/
Familiarity with selection tools and material sourcing.
Experience working with Australian clients preferred.
Good knowledge of Australian architecture and construction standards.
Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Nice To Haves:
Prior experience in interior design or architecture firms.
Understanding of design trends and materials in the Australian market.
Ability to collaborate remotely and work within a structured workflow
