Job description

This is a remote position.

We are currently looking for an experienced Research Scientist competent in Genetics and Genomics who can significantly contribute to our R&D and product development efforts, and also create engaging, informative, and accurate written content to enhance our products. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in life sciences, especially genetics and genomics, and a clear understanding of genetic polymorphisms, alleles, and their specific impact on health, wellness, and other traits. You will work closely with our research and development team to develop innovative products and constantly improve our products as we grow and scale.

This is not a lab-based role. You will be working remotely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a strategic member of the R&D Genomics Team, who is adept in in silico genetic research, literature reviews, and application of theoretical knowledge
Help create groundbreaking and innovative DNA-based trait reports that have the potential to change and improve lives through genetic testing and preventative actions
Research and write clear, accurate, and engaging content on a wide range of life science and genetics topics, focusing on their connections to nutrition, supplements/topical, and lifestyle
Collaborate with the R&D team to ensure content is aligned with our product and goals
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in life sciences to ensure products and content are current and relevant
Participate in scheduled team meetings as well as impromptu brainstorming sessions to generate new content ideas

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's (or higher) degree in a life science-related field (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, etc.)
Minimum of 3 years work experience in Genetics/Genomics
Strong understanding of healthcare, nutrition, fitness, and supplements
Critical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and engaging scientific content
Ability to research and understand complex scientific concepts and translate them into accessible content
Diligence and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Willing to work under as an Independent Contractor
With ready home office setup and equipment
Willing to work 7:00 - 4:00 Manila Time
