Treasury Analyst

Position Summary:

The Treasury Analyst plays a pivotal role in managing eJam’s liquidity, investments, and financial risk. This position is responsible for daily cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and supporting strategic financial planning. By ensuring financial accuracy and optimizing cash utilization, the Treasury Analyst directly contributes to the company’s growth and operational success.

What Your Day Will Look Like:

• Daily Cash Flow Monitoring: Review and manage daily cash positions to ensure sufficient liquidity.
• Forecasting and Reporting: Update and refine short- and long-term cash flow forecasts for leadership review.
• Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile daily transactions across all bank accounts, resolving discrepancies in collaboration with accounting.
• Merchant Processing Oversight: Analyze payment processing metrics, including approval rates and fees, to optimize performance.
• Inter-company Activities: Monitor inter-company bank accounts, facilitate fund transfers, and ensure proper documentation for intercompany settlements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with accounting and finance teams to align treasury activities with broader financial goals.
• Risk Mitigation: Monitor financial risks and recommend strategies to address vulnerabilities.
• Project Involvement: Support ongoing treasury projects, including the implementation of new tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cash Flow Management:
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts, ensuring liquidity for operational needs.
• Monitor and manage cash positions across multiple accounts.
• Reconciliations:
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts and merchant transactions to maintain accurate records.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Financial Risk Assessment:
• Identify and mitigate risks related to liquidity, currency fluctuations, and market changes.
• Support the implementation of risk management strategies.
• Bank and Vendor Relationships:
• Assist in maintaining strong relationships with banking partners and payment processors.
• Track and analyze merchant fees and payment processing rates to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Inter-company Transactions:
• Oversee inter-company fund transfers and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Ensure timely and accurate inter-company recharges in compliance with transfer pricing policies.
• Reporting:
• Deliver accurate and timely treasury reports, including cash flow summaries and variance analyses.
• Support the preparation of materials for financial planning and audits.
• Special Projects:
• Participate in treasury system implementations and process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of treasury policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury or cash management roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems and advanced Excel. NetSuite is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Maintain a minimum cash reserve of 15% of monthly expenses.
• Achieve 95% accuracy in cash flow forecasts.
• Complete reconciliations for all bank accounts by the 5th business day of each month.
• Ensure 100% accuracy in intercompany recharges and settlements.
• Reduce financial risks by 5% annually through effective strategies.
• Identify and implement two cost-saving opportunities per quarter.
