We currently support a single, highly specialized surgical practice with anticipated growth on the horizon. Position Summary:
We are hiring a Digital Infrastructure & SEO Specialist for an hourly, part-time position (10–20 hours per week) with the potential to evolve into full-time work as the company expands. The role is fully remote and offers flexible scheduling—you may complete your tasks in time blocks that are convenient to your time zone.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of modern SEO in all its forms (technical, content-based, backlinking, etc.), especially within the medical or healthcare space. You must have basic technological fluency, including website building/editing, uploading content, and managing platform performance across multiple channels. You should be able to leverage AI tools appropriately, and understand when their use could be detrimental from a search ranking perspective. You’ll also help establish and maintain a strategic Reddit presence for the brand and troubleshoot basic IT-related issues as they arise.
While spoken English fluency is not required, you must be highly proficient in written English and able to communicate clearly, professionally, and reliably in writing.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement SEO strategies tailored to the medical and healthcare sector, including on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
Build, modify, or optimize websites (preferably using WordPress or similar platforms) for usability, compliance, and search engine performance.
Regularly upload blog posts and optimize content with keyword research, internal linking, and structured data when appropriate.
Monitor AI-related SEO signals and adjust strategies to avoid penalties from over-automation or AI-generated content flags.
Use artificial intelligence tools for automation, content generation, data analysis, and other appropriate functions.
Create and manage a strategic presence on Reddit, including posting relevant content, engaging in comment threads, and navigating subreddit rules.
Identify and resolve technology-related problems (e.g., hosting, CMS issues, broken links, SEO errors).
Recommend and, when needed, coordinate outsourced solutions for technical problems that exceed in-house capabilities—prioritizing cost-effectiveness.
Prepare and present regular performance metrics or SEO audits to management.
Coordinate your workflow with a small, highly professional team using email, shared task tools, and written summaries.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in SEO and digital optimization, with demonstrable results.
Familiarity with healthcare or medical practice marketing is highly preferred.
Website design/editing skills using platforms such as WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, etc.
Competence in identifying and solving common tech problems that impact user experience or performance.
Experience using tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or similar.
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively and responsibly in a digital marketing context.
Experience building or moderating content on Reddit or similar community platforms.
Strong organizational skills and comfort working independently with limited supervision.
High proficiency in written English (spoken English not required).
Preferred (but Not Required):
Experience with healthcare provider profiles on platforms like Google Business, Healthgrades, Vitals, Zocdoc, etc.
Basic HTML/CSS or light front-end coding abilities.
Experience with CRM integration, email marketing, or marketing automation tools.
Familiarity with HIPAA-compliant online marketing strategies.
Knowledge of graphic design or UX/UI principles.
