Job Description: ESS School-Based Psychiatrist

Position Overview: 

The School Psychiatrist will provide remote psychiatric services to students, including assessments and medication management. This is a remote per diem role (approximately 4 hours per month). 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Assessments & Diagnosis 

1. Medication Management 

1. Clinical Consultation: 

• Work closely with school counselors, social workers, psychologists, and other staff to coordinate comprehensive care. 

• When appropriate may be asked to consult regarding crisis intervention 

1. Documentation and Compliance: 

• Maintain accurate and confidential records of all student interactions and treatments. 

• Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations 

Qualifications: 

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in psychiatry. 

• Board certification in child and adolescent psychiatry. 

• Valid state medical license. 

• Experience working in a school or educational setting preferred. 

• Strong understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
