Product Sourcing Specialist / Inventory Expansion Specialist

Job Type: Part-Time (25 hours per week)

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Pacific Time

Salary: $1,000 per month

Job Overview: 

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Product Sourcing Specialist / Inventory Expansion Specialist to support our growing inventory and product research initiatives. This position plays a critical role in identifying profitable product opportunities through comprehensive research and price analysis across various e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, a keen eye for trends, and a proactive approach to data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage vendor price lists via a dedicated email account.
  • Analyze vendor lists to identify potential products for resale.
  • Compare item pricing and availability across platforms like Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Mercado.
  • Compile product research and comparisons into organized Excel spreadsheets, including:
    • Product links
    • Current selling prices
    • Margin calculations
    • Estimated commission and fees
  • Research online trends to identify in-demand or emerging products.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation of research and findings.
  • Prepare and present weekly reports summarizing viable product opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and use of basic formulas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large data sets.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with major e-commerce platforms and online retail markets.
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to identify market trends and emerging product opportunities.
