This is a remote position.

Paid hours per week: 20 hours

Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday, flexible between 9 AM to 5 PM | Arlington, VA (Eastern Daylight Time)

Job Description

As a Real Estate CPA, you’ll be instrumental in managing the financial aspects of a dynamic property portfolio. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with complex mortgage transactions while utilizing modern property management systems. You’ll have direct interaction with leadership and autonomy in ensuring financial accuracy across all property-related transactions. The position provides excellent growth potential within a forward-thinking real estate investment firm.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee complex mortgage transactions and financial operations for multiple properties
  • Manage property-related accounting activities using Buildium software
  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform regular reconciliations
  • Process and verify property-related expenses and revenue entries
  • Generate and analyze financial reports for the property portfolio
  • Collaborate with operations team on financial planning and strategy
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations


Requirements
  • CPA certification required
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or construction
  • Proficiency in property management software (Buildium preferred)
  • Strong English and Spanish language skills
  • Available to work part-time on weekends
  • Experience with mortgage transaction accounting
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
