Schedule: Monday to Friday 9AM to 6PM Coconut Grove, FL time
The staff accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records of clients, reconciling accounts, preparing necessary journal entries and ensuring accurate financial reports in a timely manner. The person in this position must be professional, analytical, organized, able to address tight deadlines and have thorough bookkeeping knowledge typically acquired through experience and/or an undergraduate degree.
Duties/Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities
Client Onboarding & QBO Setup: Conduct live onboarding calls with new clients to properly set up their QBO files, ensuring all necessary configurations align with their business structure.
Financial Institution Integration: Assist clients in syncing their bank and credit card accounts to QBO, ensuring proper data flow and troubleshooting any connection issues.
Accounting Data Migration: Upload prior bookkeeping balances and accurately map historical data to our detailed chart of accounts.
Client Interviews & Customization: Conduct onboarding interviews with clients to understand their financial workflows, ensuring their QBO setup meets their specific needs.
Process Coordination & Follow-Up: Maintain a structured onboarding process by tracking progress, following up with clients, and ensuring all necessary steps are completed in a timely manner.
Professional Communication: Clearly and professionally communicate with clients via email and live calls, providing guidance, answering questions, and resolving any onboarding issues.
Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain detailed documentation of onboarding procedures and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
QuickBooks Online Expertise: Strong knowledge of QBO setup, customization, and banking integrations.
Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of basic accounting principles, including mapping prior balances and structuring a proper chart of accounts.
Customer-Facing Experience: Ability to communicate fluently, professionally, and clearly with clients. Prior experience in a client service role is preferred.
Strong Organization & Follow-Through: Ability to manage multiple client onboarding processes at once, ensuring all steps are completed efficiently.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable troubleshooting QBO sync issues and walking clients through solutions in real time.
Self-Starter & Problem-Solver: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and resolve issues proactively.
Fluent reading and writing and speaking English
Work 9am – 6pm Eastern Standard Time
