Responsibilities

Develop & Optimize: Architect, build, and maintain scalable, responsive web applications using React and Next.js tailored for a dynamic restaurant booking marketplace.
SEO & Discoverability: Leverage programmatic SEO techniques to enhance organic search performance, ensuring our platform remains highly visible to both diners and restaurant partners.
User-Centric Design: Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product managers to create intuitive interfaces that simplify restaurant discovery, booking, and customer interactions.
API Integration: Seamlessly integrate with RESTful APIs and / or GraphQL endpoints to power dynamic content, including real-time restaurant availability and booking statuses.
Performance: Implement performance optimizations and progressive enhancements to ensure a fast, reliable, and engaging user experience, especially during peak booking times.
Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide and mentor junior developers, sharing best practices in front-end development while fostering a collaborative, empowered team culture.
Documentation & Code Quality: Maintain clear technical documentation and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and long-term maintainability.

Requirements

Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in JavaScript, React Native, and Next.js, with a strong portfolio of building performative modern web applications.
SEO Experience: Demonstrated track record of implementing effective SEO strategies - including on-page, technical, and programmatic SEO - to boost organic search rankings and visibility.
State Management: Proficiency with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API in complex application scenarios.
API Proficiency: Hands-on experience integrating with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, with an emphasis on handling real-time data for dynamic applications.
Version Control & CI/CD: Strong background in Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
Debugging & Problem Solving: Excellent debugging skills and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues in both development and production environments.
Team Collaboration: Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with experience working in empowered, cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have

Java Experience: Exposure to Java for backend integrations or working with microservices that support our restaurant booking ecosystem.
Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or React Testing Library, and experience with end-to-end testing tools.
Containerization & Cloud: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
