Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Artist to join our dynamic art team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in mentoring other artists, optimizing pipelines and assets, and serving as a bridge between the art and engineering teams. If you are a Unity expert with deep knowledge of animation, UI systems, particle systems, shaders, materials, and a passion for contributing to high-quality game development, we want to hear from you.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Integrate assets into the game engine, ensuring the creation of performant in-game assets
  • Collaborate with Studio Directors, Art Director, and Lead Programmers to maintain and elevate product quality
  • Act as a problem solver, addressing artistic and technical challenges to ensure seamless development processes
  • Make critical artistic and process decisions to produce the highest quality product
  • Provide detailed information on the game status and builds, keeping all stakeholders informed
  • Profile app performance and identify render issues using specified tools to pinpoint problem areas and draw call issues
  • Contribute to the creation and modification of existing tools, scripts, or assets specifically tailored for mobile platforms

Some Must-Haves:

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Unity Engine
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a 2D package, with a preference for Photoshop and expertise in sprite atlas management
  • Experience in developing for the mobile platform
  • Familiarity with Unity's bundling systems and live ops processes
  • Strong knowledge of animation, particularly prefab-based 2D mesh animation
  • Deep understanding of Unity's particle system and UI system, including anchoring and responsive design
  • Experience with setting up prefabs and anchoring systems
  • Experience with live game operations and the fast-paced cadence of pushing updates

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
