The opportunity


The Technical Support Specialist I provides basic technical support for proprietary software products. Technical Support Specialist I follows documentation, completes SQL scripts using templates, understands basic configuration of proprietary software, interprets log information and analyses UI data within the database.


This role is designed as the entry point in the department, with the goal of developing staff into higher level roles. This role works under close supervision.


Role responsibilities

  • Provide basic technical support and guidance for users, responding to questions and concerns, troubleshooting common issues, and escalating tickets as needed.
  • Assist in the development, testing, and delivery of technical solutions for internally and externally identified issues.
  • Coordinate support with internal teams to ensure all requests are handled in order of severity.
  • Document all solutions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Utilize standard procedure documentation, technical guides, and training materials
  • Use of source code control systems (Subversion/Git)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience providing technical customer service preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience using Basic SQL (Selects and Joins) preferred, ability to demonstrate competency in basic SQL (using selects & joins, understanding foreign keys etc.) required.
