Accounts Payable Specialist (Project Based for 3 months) Up to PHP40K

Go Team is seeking for an Accounts Payable Specialist (Project Based for 3 months) who is responsible for processing and verifying invoices, reconciling transactions, and ensuring timely payments to vendors while maintaining compliance with company policies. This role involves managing 1099 statements, preparing accruals for month-end close, and collaborating with internal teams to analyze and interpret financial data. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of accounts payable experience, strong organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail to support accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Work Setup and Schedule:

• Project Based for 3 months

In this position, you will be:

• Receive, process, verify, reconcile invoices, and pay according to company policies and procedures within established timeframes.
• Review automatic payments to ensure correct coding, authorization, and sufficient contracts and documentation.
• Inspect paid and unpaid invoices, including cleared payment inquiries and check voiding, to maintain accurate files and records according to company standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data.
• Allocate payments to correct General Ledger (GL) accounts and code invoices into the accounting system, organizing and entering invoices in a timely manner.
• Book accrual for month-end close.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions with the general ledger.
• Check all invoice dollar amounts to ensure they agree with contracts and purchase orders (two/three-way matching).
• Maintain organized files on all subcontractor/vendor billings, lien releases, and preliminary notices.
• Provide management with accurate reports regarding subcontractor/vendor billing status, cost status, etc.
• Coordinate with other AP team members to review and validate the coding and integrity of invoices/entries for accuracy and legitimacy.
• Assist with all other special projects and tasks as directed by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounts payable for 3 to 5 years
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Required experience working a night shift for 1-2 years
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Strong data entry skills with a keen aptitude for numbers
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
