Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Python Engineer with strong Django expertise to join our Scrum team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will lead development efforts, mentor the team, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, scalable web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a development team in building and maintaining Python/Django applications.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and solutions.
Architect and implement scalable, secure backend solutions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices.
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
Hands-on coding and debugging as needed.

Nice to Have:

AWS experience for infrastructure and release management.
Proficiency in MySQL/PostgreSQL database design.

Requirements:

Proven experience leading and mentoring teams.
Strong understanding of web application architecture and best practices.
Expertise in Python + Django development.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Willingness to learn new technologies.
