Your mission

As a Software Quality Engineer (Automation), you will contribute significantly to VERSO's sustainable success and growth. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by taking the lead in setting up and implementing a new test strategy. By carrying out tests, identifying errors and implementing quality standards, you contribute significantly to ensuring that our software meets the requirements and expectations of our customers and thus have a direct positive influence. In all of this, you will grow with VERSO and continuously develop both our development teams and yourself.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

You willÂ be responsible forÂ designing, developing, and implementing the test strategy for our products.
You will create and execute both manual and automated test plans and test cases.
You will develop andÂ maintainÂ test automation frameworks using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
You will ensure safe releases of our products through comprehensive testing.
You will conduct API testing using tools like Postman and automated scripts for RESTful services.
You will ensure the maintenance of test documentation and test data management.
You will investigate, document, and track defects, ensuring clear communication with developers forÂ timelyÂ resolution.
You will integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
You will continuously improve QA processes, testing strategies, and best practices.
You will share yourÂ expertiseÂ with team members and collaborate closely with the QA team, Frontend and Backend Development teams, and the Product Team.

What you need to succeed:

You have at least 3+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance.
You are familiar with designing and implementing test environments for both manual testing and test automation.
You have hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or WebDriver.
You have experience testing web applications and RESTful APIs.
You are proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing automation scripts.
You are familiar with browser developer tools for debugging and inspecting web applications.
You have experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
You have knowledge of common test management tools such as TestRail orÂ Testmo.
You work in a structured manner, are curious, and enjoy sharing knowledge within the team.
You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and can effectively communicate and collaborate.
You can balance independent work on projects with close collaboration within the team.
You have a permanent residency in Germany.
You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
