Summary of Position:
As a Senior Support Engineer, you will provide Level 2 technical support for financial systems, troubleshoot escalated issues, and ensure seamless operations. You will collaborate with teams to enhance support processes, maintain compliance standards, and improve overall IT efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 2 technical support for financial applications and trading systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated IT support tickets related to investment platforms, portfolio management software, and risk management tools.
Support Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial market data systems to ensure seamless operations.
Collaborate with Level 1 support teams to enhance knowledge sharing and reduce ticket escalations.
Contribute to existing knowledge base to improve Level 1 support efficiency, documenting troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
Escalating unresolved issues to Level 3 support or other specialized teams (e.g., development, network engineering, security). Working closely with these teams to ensure timely resolution.
Work closely with compliance and risk management teams to ensure regulatory IT requirements are met.
Assist with financial system deployments, updates, and integrations while ensuring minimal disruption to business functions.
Monitoring critical systems and applications for performance issues and errors. Responding to alerts and taking appropriate action.
Document solutions, processes, and troubleshooting steps in the company’s knowledge base.
Provide end-user training and guidance to improve IT proficiency within the organization.
Ensure IT processes align with financial industry standards and compliance regulations.
