Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Business Architecture Support Specialist with deep expertise in Medicaid and Healthcare IT systems. This role will provide subject matter expertise on Medicaid industry trends, policies, and solutions, ensuring alignment with MITA framework and CMS compliance standards. The successful candidate will support business architecture workshops, documentation development, and strategic guidance while collaborating with stakeholders to drive process improvements and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Medicaid Subject Matter Professional (SMP), providing guidance on Medicaid policies, operations, and industry trends to both internal teams and external client stakeholders
• Research and analyze Medicaid-specific topics to inform business architecture decisions and innovation efforts
• Support the planning, development, and facilitation of business architecture workshops, ensuring alignment with the approved methodology and approach
• Assist in the creation and validation of business architecture artifacts, including context models, process maps, and workflows
• Analyze business processes, workflows, and system requirements to identify gaps and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document pain points and their root causes, ensuring alignment with business transformation initiatives
• Provide recommendations for process improvements based on Medicaid expertise, ensuring adherence to strategic goals and guiding principles
• Maintain clear communication between internal teams, project stakeholders, and business units to ensure a shared understanding of Medicaid-specific requirements and future operational needs
• Support documentation preparation, task execution, and team collaboration, contributing to project success

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with large-scale Healthcare solutions and Medicaid programs
• 4+ years of experience in IT system implementation and enterprise projects
• Hands-on expertise with Medicaid operations, policies, and business architecture artifacts
• Experience organizing and facilitating workshops with diverse stakeholders to review and validate business architecture documentation
• Strong analytical skills in reviewing business documentation and assessing Medicaid-related processes
• Proven ability to build relationships with project teams, leadership, and client stakeholders while addressing complex Medicaid topics
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Track record of efficiency, adaptability, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Project Management, Business Analysis, or Medicaid operations
• Technical certifications in ITIL, CompTIA, Oracle, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, IT Governance, or IT Auditing
