Field service engineer 2-stroke

At MAN Energy Solutions Portugal we are currently looking for Service Engineers specialized in marine engines, 2-stroke. You will be responsible for service activity and will have to execute service work on customer´s site, onshore and offshore in Portugal and Europe.

You will be stationed at MAN Energy Solutions Portugal in Sétubal.

We can offer you the following tasks

• Execution of mechanical works in the workshop, on board or at customer sites on Marine engines and equipment (specifically 2-stroke)
• Perform service tasks on new installations, maintenance and repairing activities
• Perform reporting and documentation for the work performed
• Diagnose reasons for engine failure
• Planning, organization, preparation & coordination of such site works with MAN Energy Solutions internal as well as customer staff & contractors
• First response to our clients in Portugal and European Region for any emergency on MAN Energy Solutions
• Maintain professional communication and strong business relationships with customers
  
  

You Can Help Us With These Qualifications

• Mechanical experience on Marine engines (2-stroke) and equipment and knowledge of all high precision measuring instruments
• Experience in reading technical documents, instructions, sketches /explanation of details and cross-sectional drawings
• Good reporting skills and reporting any findings in the field in writing
• Troubleshooting attitude
• Advanced analytical thinking, independent, punctual, resolute, hands-on mentality, can handle stress and difficult situations in a calm manner
• Availability to travel for technical assignments in Portugal and Europe (minimum of 150 days per year)
• Fluency in English
• Good command of Portuguese language or the willingness to learn it
