You will be responsible for coordinating with different areas in the company and other business units, for documenting and applying business rules to the Assortment definitions, in order to maximize space productivity while aligning with the company’s strategy. As Assortment Specialist, you will be accountable for introducing new processes and tools into the strategic decisions of the category managers, and their impact to the assortment in stores.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Collaborate with Category Managers to document business rules related to assortment and merchandising strategies
Execute analytical models to maximize the profitability of each in-store category
Visit stores in Switzerland to analyze the real-world impact of assortment decisions, gather insights, and adjust models accordingly
Work closely with other business units and extended teams, particularly in Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, and Mexico, to ensure seamless processes
Support the development and optimization of tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in category management
Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for category growth and innovation
Key Skills And Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Process Management, or a related field
Excellent knowledge of Excel and database management; experience with analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
Strong communication skills, service-oriented mindset, and ability to work effectively in cross-cultural teams
Structured approach to work with a strong focus on detail and problem-solving abilities
Professional working proficiency in English and German
