As a Linux Network Administrator, you will provide technical and operational first-line IT support to the business to ensure continuous operational effectiveness. You may also provide second-line support for specific IT products, systems, and third-party applications as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Network Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, routers, and switches to ensure optimal network performance.
• When required, provide after-hours first-line technical support to all staff members
• Linux Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat), including routine patching and upgrades
• Security & Hardening: Implement security best practices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN) and ensure systems are regularly audited and patched
• Ensure all work is captured in the logging/ticketing system and close calls as needed
• Ensure that company staff members are always treated as valued customers
• Monitor and report any system alerts to line management. Meet with the team weekly to discuss problems and progress
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly, including on-call escalation support
• Scripting & Automation: Develop scripts (Bash, Python) to automate routine administrative tasks, reducing manual workload
• Assist the IT Manager with daily tasks
• Ensure the knowledge management system is always updated with required solutions and documentation
• Maintain computer-related equipment registers
• Ensure that all naming conventions are followed
• Ensure strict compliance with internal processes and policies, including adherence to the Authority Matrix and MAPs guidelines
• Attend all required meetings and assist with any ad-hoc tasks or projects assigned by the Technology Management team
• Attend all assigned training, even if scheduled outside regular hours
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration and network operations
• Proficient in at least one Linux server environment (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS)
• Experience with firewall administration (iptables, firewalld, or similar)
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, and VPNs.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and SOC best practices

• Effective time management skills
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with foreign counterparts
• Proactive and positive mindset and attitude toward work
