Job Summary

As the OEM Global Sales Manager, you'll spearhead efforts to expand and maintain relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Design Manufactures in HVAC, Refrigeration, and IoT sectors. Your strategic focus will involve developing sales globally, nurturing existing OEM relationships, and fostering key strategic partnerships. You'll collaborate closely with OEMs as end-users, establishing technology alliances and driving customer loyalty. Reporting to the Sr. Global OEM Sales Manager, you'll support the achievement of sales quotas, identify opportunities for product enhancement, and serve as a liaison between OEM clients and internal teams.

What will you do?
  • Support OEM Sales Initiatives: Collaborate with the Distech Controls System Integrator Channel Regional Sales Managers to drive success within the OEM sales organization
  • Promote Product Adoption: Facilitate the adoption of newly introduced products across OEM customer accounts, ensuring a smooth transition and effective utilization
  • Optimize Sales Effectiveness: Manage and maintain sales systems and tools, ensuring accurate tracking of leads and opportunities to enhance sales performance
  • Focus on Key Accounts: Prioritize top OEM accounts and develop strategic solicitation plans, with specific emphasis on the Data Center HVAC market space
  • Coordinate Pre-Sales Efforts: Leverage Professional Services and oversee all pre-sales processes, including product selection and technical consultations
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Partner with the Marketing team to create impactful collateral presentations that effectively communicate product value to OEM customers
  • Enhance Sales Team Performance: Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to sales teams, improving their product knowledge and sales capabilities
  • Build Key Relationships: Establish and nurture productive relationships with key personnel in assigned OEM accounts to foster long-term partnerships
  • Address Customer Needs: Proactively assess customer requirements, identify opportunities for product enhancements, and ensure continuous alignment with customer expectations
  • Document Success Stories: Develop comprehensive case studies to highlight OEM customer success stories, showcasing the value and effectiveness of Distech Controls' solutions
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
  • Supports initiatives that ensure product profitability
  • Achieves product growth targets in the assigned OEM global account base
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame
Organizational Alignment
  • Reports to the Sr. Global OEM Sales Manager
  • Responds to the customer support requirements of the sales organization, including National Account Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers, and other sales and management resources as needed
  • Works closely with all teams to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
  • University or College degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Customer Service or Sales Support Services
  • Must have knowledge of HVAC, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and/or Lighting Automation Systems
  • Data Center vertical market space experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with BACnet communication, IT protocols, and control system design
  • Proficiency in IT technologies such as HTML, OPC, SNMP, SOAP, and network management is an asset
  • Experience in pricing, estimating, and quoting BAS systems is preferred
  • Exceptional written, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Valid driver’s license required
Travel Requirements
  • Travel is required both domestic and international 30-40%

The range for this position is $80,400.00 to $144,700.00. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location.
