Datadog Transition and Transformation Engineer – Remote (U.S. only)
The client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Datadog L3 Transition and Transformation (T&T) resource who can manage the transition and transformation of Datadog monitoring solutions into their environment.
Job Summary:
Datadog L3 Transition and Transformation(T&T) Resource Responsibilities:
1. Transition Management: - Lead the transition of Datadog monitoring solutions into client environments, conducting a thorough analysis of existing monitoring systems. - Develop and execute transition plans, ensuring a seamless integration of Datadog solutions with minimal disruption.
2. Transformation Oversight: - Design and implement advanced configurations within the Datadog tool to align with client-specific monitoring requirements. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during the transformation phase, providing hands-on expertise.
3. Technical Expertise: - Serve as an L3 escalation point for Datadog-related queries, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the platform's features and functionalities. - Conduct comprehensive system analysis to optimize performance, including fine-tuning alerting, incident response, and reporting mechanisms.
4. Collaboration: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including support, operations, and engineering, to ensure a cohesive transition and transformation process. - Mentor and guide L1/L2 support teams, providing technical insights and facilitating knowledge transfer.
5. Client Interaction: - Engage with clients to understand their unique monitoring needs and customize Datadog solutions accordingly. - Conduct training sessions for clients, enhancing their understanding and proficiency in utilizing Datadog capabilities.
6. Documentation: - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Datadog transition and transformation processes, facilitating knowledge sharing within the team.
7. Continuous Improvement: - Actively participate in identifying areas for improvement in Datadog tools and contribute insights for product enhancement. Technical Skills: - Proficient in Datadog platform, including setup, configuration, and customization. - Strong understanding of cloud-based monitoring, APM (Application Performance Monitoring), and infrastructure monitoring. - Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and integration. - Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. - Expertise in incident response, log analysis, and performance optimization. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience. - Proven track record in implementing Datadog solutions with a focus on transition and transformation. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts effectively. - Relevant certifications in Datadog and other related technologies are high
