Job description

The Opportunity

Casechek is on a mission to innovate the implant supply chain and bring greater transparency to the cost of patient care. From procurement to payment, Casechek automates workflows for vendor supported surgical procedures. Our emergent Bill Only solution provides a comprehensive system of record for Hospitals and Health Systems to manage the complexity of surgical cases with implantable medical devices, expose hidden expenses and surface revenue opportunities.

The Integration Engineer will be a vital member of Casechek’s customer success team and will be responsible for delivering client integrations, assisting with technical sales discussions, and providing technical integrations support to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and results-oriented individual who is passionate about solving complex technical problems in a SaaS organization.

Casechek is a highly collaborative environment, but our team is also self-motivated and works independently. We strongly believe that great ideas are not created in isolation! Our team interacts with our healthcare customers to understand their needs and ultimately deliver the best user experience as possible.

About Us

  • Casechek is based out Chicago’s Fulton Market, but we’re a hybrid and remote team.
  • We are highly motivated and passionate about solving healthcare’s messiest problems with new technologies.
  • We value diversity, curiosity, and a passion for learning. The team has a lot of advanced degrees and even a few professional musicians.
  • Innovating the implant supply chain is a marathon and not a sprint – we support each other in long-term growth and value developing transferrable skills.

About You

  • Eager to learn and develop in the healthcare industry, with an interest in building and supporting technical system integrations involving EHR and ERP systems.
  • Highly motivated and thrives in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for driving customer success and creating impactful change.
  • Approaches challenges with a solution-oriented attitude and enjoys solving complex technical problems in an efficient and collaborative manner.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Committed to continuous learning, staying updated with industry trends, and always ready to apply new insights to enhance outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the scoping, designing, and building of technical integrations, as well as supporting the deployment of enhancements or upgrades as needed.
  • Support the review and comprehension of customer technical specifications, contributing to accurate implementation estimates.
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Support team to investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues reported by customers, ensuring timely and effective solutions while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Manage customer escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Deliver technical product training to both customers and internal team members to enhance understanding and utilization of our products.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive account growth and assist in the sales process.
  • Work with data and product teams to identify opportunities to increase value captured at accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and executives.
  • Contribute to tracking and reporting on integration success metrics, using data insights to support continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience, preferably involving system integrations, customer support, or project management in a SaaS setting.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in roles involving integrations with EMR/ERP systems or supporting clinical workflows, is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and customers.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eagerness to learn how to use data and technical tools to drive integrations.
  • Basic coding skills, preferably in JavaScript, with the ability to learn and write code as needed for integration tasks (experience through coursework, internships, or personal projects is a plus).
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
  • Interest in the healthcare industry, particularly in technology used in surgical procedures or surgical inventory management, is beneficial.
  • Basic understanding or coursework in process improvement strategies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with project management or collaboration tools (e.g., Wrike, Jira) is advantageous but not required.
  • Interest or basic knowledge in healthcare interoperability platforms (e.g., Qvera) is a plus; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Willingness to learn about electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner as part of the role.
