Data Analyst Lead for Data Conversions & Governance 

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10 of experience in data analysis, data conversion, or data governance roles.
• Proven experience with Workday data migration is a must.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data and governance concepts, including data ownership, stewardship, and custodianship.
• Proficiency in data quality management, integrated data concepts, and systems of record and source of truth.
• Experience with data cataloging, creating data dictionaries, and documenting data processes.
• Strong technical skills in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools.
• Strong business and technical communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with functional and technical teams.

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience leading discussions on data quality and governance with functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the data conversion process from legacy systems to Workday, ensuring accurate and timely & secure migration. Facilitate secure data extraction and transfer, guiding functional and technical teams on secure practices for data migration.
• Communicate effectively with technical and business functional teams to align on data transfer requirements and timelines.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive data catalog and data dictionary to document data assets being converted by technical and functional teams.
• Implement and advocate for data governance processes, including defining roles such as data owners, stewards, and custodians.
• Perform data quality analysis and create data quality reports by comparing data elements from multiple sources using tools like Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
• Collaborate with functional stakeholders to understand their data needs, promote integrated data practices, and educate them on governance principles.
• Facilitate discussions to resolve discrepancies and establish a source of truth for critical data elements.
• Act as a subject matter expert in enterprise data governance and provide recommendations for long-term improvements.
