Job description

Company Description

Vattenfall is a European energy company with approximately 21 000 employees. For more than 100 years we have electrified industries, supplied energy to people’s homes and modernized our way of living through innovation and cooperation. We are looking for talented individuals who, in addition to their passion for their own role, also have strong team spirit and want to contribute to supporting a meaningful corporate mission.

Job Description

At People Analytics, part of Vattenfall People & Culture, we unlock the potential of our data to empower decision-making and to enable meaningful change. Are you passionate about using data to make a real difference in how people work, grow, and thrive?

If you’re energized by Vattenfall’s mission to create a fossil-free future and excited to work with data, people, and cutting-edge technology, we’re looking for you to join our team as a Senior Data Analyst.

What will you do?

Your Role

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will collaborate with teams across People & Culture and the broader Vattenfall organization. You’ll understand the needs of our stakeholders, design solutions that leverage data effectively, and create insights that shape our People strategies. Together, we’ll enhance how we attract, develop, and retain the talents who make Vattenfall successful.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders: gather requirements, present insights, and guide decisions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our People & Culture processes, systems, and data flows.
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards which empower data self-service for our stakeholders.
  • Ensure data accuracy, identify meaningful correlations, and monitor data flows.
  • Share knowledge generously, supporting colleagues and advocating for data-driven decision-making.

Location
Katowice/Gliwice or remotely in Poland

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

We value diverse experiences and perspectives, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace. You might be the perfect fit if:

  • You’re a natural problem solver with a hands-on approach.
  • You’re curious, eager to learn, and excited to tackle new challenges daily.
  • You see data as the starting point of all decision making.
  • You’re collaborative and love sharing knowledge to help others grow.
  • You embrace agile methods and thrive in a dynamic environment.

What You Bring

  • Experience:
    • Several years of experience with People & Culture data, processes and systems. Ideally you have already worked in a People Analytics team, alternatively also experience in another corporate analytics context is seen as a big plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in designing, building and maintaining Power BI dashboards (including proficient DAX, advanced SQL and at least basic data modelling).
    • General understanding of data protection concepts and data security.
    • Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Azure data warehousing solutions, version controlling with GIT.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain analytics concepts to not-yet data-driven audiences.
  • Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English.
