The Role

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and oversee the company’s backup and recovery systems.
Regularly perform and monitor backup operations to ensure compliance with the company's data protection policy.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup processes.
Perform data recovery operations in the event of data loss or corruption.
Collaborate with IT security teams to align backup and recovery operations with overall security protocols.
Continuously evaluate and improve backup strategies and processes.
Provide training and support to team members on effective data protection practices.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in backup solutions.

Ideal Profile

Qualifications

2-3 years of professional experience as a Backup Engineer or in a similar role.
Proficient in using Acronis backup software and familiar with its deployment and maintenance.
Strong understanding of data protection principles and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) strategies.
Experience with other backup solutions and technologies is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or certifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Fluent in Spanish and English to effectively liaise with the stakeholders of the region.
