Job Overview
Ohmium is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Bid Manager who thrives in diverse business environments and can adeptly adapt to varying business models. In this pivotal role, the Commercial Bid Manager will be responsible for driving proposal/contract development and order management processes and provide essential frontline deal desk support to the European Sales Team. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of successfully driving proposal and contract development, as well as managing order processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for continuous business process improvement, proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation. Reporting to the Vice President Sales - Europe, this individual contributor position has a global scope, playing a crucial part in supporting Ohmium's commercial initiatives worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Tender and Offer Preparation: Enhance sales team productivity by preparing high-quality tenders, offers, and internal alignment documents. Ensure all Sales Representatives have up-to-date support materials.
Order Handling and Verification: Process orders received via email, ensuring accuracy in prices, discounts, and product numbers. Input orders, adhere to customer requirements, and ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely and build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders including operations, legal and finance departments to handle sales, marketing queries, and deliveries efficiently.
Proposal and Contract Development: Serve as a trusted advisor to Ohmium’s Commercial and Legal Teams, standardizing, driving, and supporting the proposal/contract development and order management processes.
Field Team Support: Gather proposals and deal information from field teams, assess requirements, and provide support for structuring complex, non-standard deals in collaboration with multiple cross-functional partners.
Document Review: Review proposals, contracts, and other documents for accuracy and completeness, suggesting creative solutions that balance customer needs and company policies.
Commercial Governance: Ensure all proposals, contracts, tenders, and related documents are approved within the commercial governance framework.
Finance and Legal Interface: Coordinate with finance and legal teams to facilitate the approval of non-standard deals, focusing on revenue recognition and contract language.
Contract Negotiation Management: Oversee the contract negotiation lifecycle, ensuring new and emerging terms are vetted and approved by the appropriate audiences within Ohmium.
Sales Guidance: Provide ongoing guidance to the sales team on creating "good deals" or "perfect orders" by leveraging historical trends and current compliance policies.
CRM Data Accuracy and Enhancements: Collaborate with Commercial Operations to ensure data accuracy in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and recommend system enhancements.
Template Management: Work with Commercial teams to maintain up-to-date proposals, contracts, and other templates in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and other repositories.
Workflow Documentation and Audit: Document workflow, internal controls, procedures, and maintain audit checks around proposal/contract development and order management.

Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building and maintaining productive relationships with internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear and efficient collaboration
Desired Background
2-4 years experience in commercial bid management or deal packing management or tender preparations support and/or related roles; experience with capital equipment and/or broader manufacturing businesses is a big plus
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics CRM; proficiency in CPQ/CLM tools a big plus
Strong to expert proficiency in MS Office
Fluent in English; additional European language is an advantage
