Job Overview

As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our software products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver products that meet customer needs and align with business goals. Qualifications & Skills

(a) Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
(b) Experience:
  • Junior-Level Candidates: 1-3 years of experience in product management, project management, business analysis, or a related role.
  • Senior-Level Candidates: 5+ years of experience in product management with a proven track record of delivering successful software products.
(c) Technical Understanding:
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering teams and translate technical concepts into actionable business requirements.
(d) Market & Customer Insights:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret market trends, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Trello, or equivalent for product planning and backlog management.
(e) Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and present ideas effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions.
  • Adaptability and a growth-oriented attitude in a dynamic work environment.

(f) Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in SaaS, B2B software, or consumer tech products.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and data-driven product design.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Tableau.
  • Certifications in Product Management (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, AIPMM) are a bonus.

Responsibilities

(a) Product Strategy & Vision:
  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ensure alignment of product goals with overall company objectives.

(b) Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the product lifecycle.

(c) Customer-Centric Development:
  • Conduct market research and gather customer insights to identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business value, and technical feasibility.

(d) Product Execution:
  • Manage the product backlog, write detailed user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee the development process, ensuring that sprints are well-organized and deliverables meet quality standards.

(e) Performance Tracking:
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Analyze product performance data and use insights to inform future decisions.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Candidates:

  • Mentor junior product managers and contribute to the development of best practices within the product team.
  • Drive strategic initiatives, such as exploring new market opportunities or managing complex, high-impact projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key external partners, including customers, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
