Our client offers a suite of products used daily by billions of consumers, teams and organizations – with over 6 million businesses choosing them to boost productivity. We are looking for an experienced cross-functional Art Director to join our creative team.
As an Art Director for our client, you'll be a pivotal force in shaping the visual identity of one of the world's leading tech companies. Your creative acumen coupled with strong concept, typography, design, product photography and product rendering experience will drive the design and execution of compelling marketing materials across all major media channels. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team to generate innovative concepts, solve complex design challenges, and deliver high-quality assets that resonate with our target audience. A passion for storytelling, combined with a strong technical foundation, will be essential to your success in this dynamic role.
This position will be a 5-month fixed-term contract.
This is a remote position ideally located in either New York or the San Francisco Bay Area.
Travel may be requested.
Key Responsibilities
Be a fountain of ideas and creative thinking who can think and implement quickly, laterally, independently or collaboratively
Be a "hands-on" creative through designing, concepting, art directing, and being a cross-functional partner both on the client and agency side
Oversee agency projects, ensuring high quality execution and solving complex problems
Responsible for weekly production requests of consumer facing communications that are featured in multiple channels (Marketing, Production, Retail, Editorial Engineering, Localization and QA)
Experience working in a fast paced, iterative process and be able to professionally accept and coalesce feedback from multiple stakeholders
Leverage strong conceptual design thinking, strong design background, product/lifestyle photography expertise, and experience collaborating with photographers and 3D renderers
Demonstrate mastery of creative production (including print, digital and motion), collaborating with producers and independently tracking project timelines proactively and effectively
Maintain a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and communicate ideas to the team
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
Experienced in developing and executing campaigns, and has an advanced understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across channels and audiences
Strength in translating high level ideas into unique visual styles and directions
Attention to detail, balance and innovation and ability to provide detailed specifications and comments to convey desired direction
Passionate about graphic design, typography, photography, motion and 3D rendering
A keen awareness of visual trends associated with entertainment, technology & culture. Experience designing for these industries would be useful.
Ability to create work under minimal supervision as well as package and articulately present creative solutions
Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in delivering strong creative ideas across print, digital, and social.
8+ years relevant design experience; Preferably time spent at top design or advertising agencies. Motion & 3D capabilities are a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic, Information, Communication, or Web Design, or equivalent
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of and high comfortability being in a client-facing environment
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace and Figma
Experience preparing files for both print and digital assets across multiple platforms
Self-starter and effective problem solver who thrives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
Flexible and adaptive to the changing needs of the business
For California and New York applicants: The US base salary range for this position is $11,666 to $14,166 per month. Actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, certifications and work location. This range may be different in other locations due to the cost of labor.
