Firewall Engineer – Fortinet

Description
Conexess Group is seeking a Firewall Engineer specializing in Fortinet. This is a 100% remote, contract role and candidates interested MUST HAVE recent FortiGate and FortiManager experience within Fortinet. This person will be asked to perform the following functions:

Responsibilities

Ability to make updates, changes, commits, remove policy changes on Fortinet firewalls
Must be able to work with end users and tickets to troubleshoot and implement changes that deal with FortGate's and FortiManager
Will work daily within Fortinet environment, consisting of FortiGates, FortiManagers and FortiProxy
Troubleshooting skills required
Critical thinking a plus, provide recommendations or ask questions on how rules should be configured (i.e. using secure port vs insecure port)
Daily and/or weekly updates of work accomplished and in process must be submitted to the team
Document detailed change management processes, configuration changes, and troubleshooting steps
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

NSE 4 or 5+ years Fortinet experience required, has to be recent FortiGate and FortiManager experience
Minimum 3 years' experience with hands on Fortinet experience
Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to follow a process and work a queue
