Job description

If this sounds like you, this could be the perfect opportunity to join EPAM as a Systems Engineering Manager (DevOps Manager).

You will be working with highly skilled and engaged peers across the globe on delivering DevOps transformation projects and building and continuously maturing the team. Your job will involve people management, architecture, and delivery.

Responsibilities


  • Develop the Data DevOps discipline
  • Help unit members in professional growth and career development
  • Develop and implement a long-term plan for the Data DevOps unit
  • Build an organizational and managerial structure in the unit
  • Hire DevOps engineers and provide project staffing
  • Guarantee the achievement of the company’s main goals, such as headcount growth, utilization, attrition and wage inflation
  • Participate in Data & Analytics practice activities (POCs, MVPs, training, RFPs, Discoveries, etc.)
  • Design, build and maintain production systems
  • Provide consulting services to application teams looking to build cloud-based applications
  • Work with the business in identifying solutions and critical case studies / scenarios


Requirements


  • 7 years of professional expertise in DevOps and system engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Python and a variety of services in one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Linux / Unix systems administration background
  • Competency in infrastructure troubleshooting, performance tuning, optimization and bottleneck problem analysis
  • Track record in managing production infrastructure with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, etc
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc.)
  • Advanced skill in one build automation tool (Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, GoCD, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in monitoring tools and dashboards (Zabbix, Nagios, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Expertise in authentication and authorization protocols (LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of software development life cycle, monitoring and security best practices
  • Pre-Intermediate or higher level of spoken English (B1+)
