Job description

Overview

The SAP ABAP SD Consultant plays a crucial role in the organization by providing technical expertise and support for the SAP ABAP and Sales & Distribution (SD) modules. They are responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining ABAP programs and interfaces, as well as customizing and enhancing SD functionalities to meet business requirements.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
Develop and customize SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements
Configure and enhance SAP SD functionalities, including pricing, shipping, and billing
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP ABAP and SD related issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and implementation
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SAP ABAP programs and SD processes
Conduct system upgrades, patches, and enhancements
Document technical specifications, test plans, and user guides
Provide training and support to end users
Stay updated with SAP ABAP and SD best practices, technologies, and trends
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant with expertise in SD module
Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming language and development tools
In-depth understanding of SAP SD functionalities, including pricing, delivery, and billing processes
Proficiency in customizing and enhancing standard SAP SD functionalities
Experience in integration between SAP SD and other modules such as MM and FI/CO
Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Certification in SAP ABAP and/or SAP SD is an advantage
Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP HANA, and SAP Cloud Platform is a plus
