Visual Designer (Remote)

Compensation Range: $50 - 55 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Visual Designer with a strong background in user interface (UI) and functionality design to join our client's team for a remote contract opportunity!

You will be responsible for designing user interfaces for web, software, and hardware products, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating user-centered design solutions and has a knack for translating customer needs into functional and visually stunning designs.

Responsibilities:

• Design user interfaces for web, software, and hardware products.
• Write functionality design specifications to ensure seamless project execution.
• Create and implement prototypes, mock-ups, task analysis, usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams.
• Generate innovative design ideas and effectively present and sell them to product teams.
• Understand customer needs and motivations, integrating them into the design to enhance user features and functionality.
• Act as a consultant to other team leads and manage external production and design resources as needed.
• Attend team meetings, contributing from the initial concept phase through to project completion, while reviewing and refining work throughout the process.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience level: Experienced
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in UI and functionality design.
• Strong creative skills with the ability to generate and implement unique design ideas.
• Proven experience in usability studies, personas, user flows, wireframes, style guides, navigational structures, and affinity diagrams.
• Solid knowledge of web technologies, including HTML and CSS, and experience with database-served websites.
• Proficiency in current and emerging web technologies and standard design tools, including Figma.
• Experience with rich client or web applications is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to understand and integrate customer motivations and needs into design solutions.
• Proven ability to own and drive projects from concept to completion.
