We are seeking an experienced
Instructional Designer to support the Rental Division of our client's organization for a 6-month contract role with the possibility of an extension.
This role is critical in developing and enhancing training curricula for both external dealers and internal employees. As part of the Rental and Use Team, you will have a unique blend of hands-on instructional design responsibilities, alongside a strategic focus on curriculum development. This is a new position, offering the opportunity to help build out processes and influence the direction of the training programs.
This is a hybrid role in which candidates must be onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays in Peoria, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop e-training modules to support dealer and employee education.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accurate and effective training content.
- Administer and monitor training programs, keeping track of project progress and milestones.
- Create and maintain product reference sheets and other essential training documentation.
- Maintain and update website with relevant training materials.
- Compile and present reports on dealer performance and training results.
- Monitor and evaluate training outcomes, making adjustments as needed to improve effectiveness.
- Video editing experience is highly preferred to assist in creating engaging multimedia training content.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Entry Level
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
- Proven hands-on experience with instructional design, particularly in developing e-training modules.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and build out new processes as this is a newly created position.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and track their status.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in working with SMEs and other stakeholders.
- Experience with video editing software is a plus.
