Job description

Overview:
The DevOps Cloud Automation role is pivotal in driving the organization's cloud infrastructure and automation initiatives. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless deployment, scaling, and management of applications in cloud environments, while fostering a culture of automation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure and automation solutions
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and secure application delivery
  • Create and manage infrastructure as code for configuration management and provisioning
  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for cloud-based applications
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment processes
  • Automate manual processes to increase operational efficiency
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented in all aspects of cloud infrastructure
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and automation-related issues
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in cloud and automation
  • Contribute to the documentation of processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support outside of regular business hours when necessary
  • Lead and mentor junior team members in cloud automation best practices
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in DevOps practices and cloud automation
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or Datadog
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and best practices in cloud environments
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and working in collaborative, cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Google Professional DevOps Engineer are a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
