Job description

Sales and Client Acquisition:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

Identify potential clients through various channels such as referrals, networking, and cold calling.

Conduct thorough client needs assessments to understand their insurance requirements.

Present and explain insurance policy options to clients, ensuring clarity and transparency throughout the process.

Customize insurance packages to suit individual client needs and budget constraints.

Policy Management:

Facilitate the application and underwriting process for insurance policies.

Maintain accurate and updated records of client interactions, policy details, and transactions.

Assist clients with policy renewals, modifications, and claims processes.

Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have regarding their insurance coverage.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

Stay informed about industry regulations, policy changes, and market trends.

Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance laws and regulations.

Maintain proper licensing and certifications as required by regulatory authorities.

Relationship Management:

Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients, earning their trust and loyalty.

Collaborate effectively with insurance carriers and underwriters to negotiate terms and coverage options on behalf of clients.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on risk management and insurance planning.

Requirements

Proven experience as a licensed Insurance Agent specializing in either Life and Health or Property and Casualty insurance.

Valid state insurance license(s) for the specific lines of insurance being sold.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

Sound knowledge of insurance products, industry regulations, and market trends.

Proficiency in using insurance agency management systems and related software applications.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively within a team environment.

High degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Completion of relevant insurance courses and certifications.
